At Berserker Street State School, our highly skilled teachers deliver first-class, innovative instruction with a strong focus on high expectations, academic success, and student engagement. In recognition of our commitment to excellence, Berserker Street State School was selected as a 2025 Showcase School of Excellence, one of only 13 schools in the state of Queensland.
A strong emphasis is placed on championing instruction and student learning through our Read Through the Curriculum approach. This whole-school focus strengthens literacy across all subject areas, empowering students to become confident readers, effective communicators, and critical thinkers.
Each learning space is equipped with iPads, laptops and interactive whiteboards, ensuring students can engage with technology as a natural part of their learning. Our Innovation Centre and STEM Hub provides further opportunities for hands-on exploration and creativity through activities such as digital coding, LEGO Robotics and highly engaging design technologies instructions led by our skilled STEM Teacher.
Health and wellbeing are also key components of our curriculum. Students participate in a comprehensive swimming program, developing essential water safety skills and confidence in aquatic environments. Our senior students engage in Friday Afternoon Sport, where they demonstrate dedication to their training schedules and strive to achieve their personal best as athletes and team members.
To support learning across all areas, our school library is well resourced to support the educational goals of our school community. It provides a rich range of resources, ideas, and expert guidance to enhance classroom learning and inquiry. In addition, our students enjoy opportunities to broaden their global awareness through the Languages program, developing an appreciation for diverse cultures and communication beyond the classroom.
