At Berserker Street State School we believe that intensive support in the areas of literacy and numeracy should be available for any student who is not achieving to their potential.
We have invested heavily in a successful model for intervention and support which is yielding some great results.
We have two Learning Support classrooms that are headed by specialist
staff who work with the classroom teacher to identify students who will benefit from additional support, and then tailor an individual program. The beauty of this program is that students receive daily support and are able to progress very rapidly.
Groupings are reviewed continually and we have invested heavily in specialised reading and numeracy resources to support this program.
