Facilities

In December 2010 we opened our fantastic Sports stadium – a full-sized multi-purpose facility with Pulastic 2000 Olympic Sports flooring and an $80 000 integrated audio visual system. This has provided us with a venue for concerts, presentations, sporting events. The stadium is used by a wide range of community organisations for showcase events, and for more regular use including a great Vacation Care program.

Our library has also been completely refurbished and is a magical place drawing compliments from all who see it. The library has a range of areas including a senior research area, large computer room and the amazing 'Funky Room'.

Our beautiful turn of the Century buildings are fully modernised and air-conditioned.  Every classroom and learning space now has a promethean interactive whiteboard, computers and access to the world wide web. This has revolutionised teaching and learning within the school.

We have two large ovals for play and sport, as well as a number of specialised playgrounds across the school. The stunning fully shaded 850 m2 rubber play space has transformed the heart of the school has provided a great alternative area for children to play in.

We are very lucky at Berserker Street State School to have ample classroom space, allowing us to create specialist areas. We have  specialist Language other than English (LOTE) and music rooms, our Assisting Children to Connect with Eductaion and Support Services (ACCESS) wellness centre, and learning support/withdrawal rooms in key areas across the school.

We are able to utilise these wonderful facilities to provide before and after school care through our partners PCYC (contact Toni on mobile 0418 116 481 for any enquiries).

We also host a C&K Association Kindergarten on site (telephone (07) 4926 9342). In addition to this, the federal government has funded a brand new, state of the art child and family centre, also housed on the grounds of the school, which can be contacted on telephone (07) 4928 5043.

We welcome visitors and are always happy to show our beautiful school.
